Erica Millar joins Norman Economic Development Coalition as Chief Operating Officer
(NORMAN, OKLAHOMA) –
The Norman Economic Development Coalition announces the appointment of Erica Millar as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Of the coalition, Millar’s responsibilities as Chief of Staff, include overseeing NEDC's operations and spearheading community development initiatives.
Bringing a wealth of experience from her 12-year tenure as Vice President of Community Development and Government Affairs at the Norman Chamber of Commerce, Millar's expertise spans the orchestration of leadership programs, organizing signature events like the annual Washington DC-Fly-In, and championing key initiatives focused on education and quality of life.
"With her multifaceted experience and commitment to community advancement, Erica is a valuable addition to our team," stated Lawrence McKinney, President/CEO of the Norman Economic Development Coalition. "Her proven track record in fostering partnerships and driving impactful programs aligns seamlessly with our vision for sustainable growth and community engagement."
Millar holds a B.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma with a specialization in Marketing. Her dedication to excellence was recognized with a Regional Emmy for her contributions to the Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular.
Aside from her professional career, Millar enjoys time with her husband Kyle and their blended family, embracing parenthood to Olivia (19), Sam (18), Sawyer (15), and Grayson (6).
Her new role at NEDC will encompass oversight of prominent initiatives such as ONE Norman, quarterly Sooner Centurion Events, and strategic collaborations with entities like the Chamber, Norman Next, Norman Public Schools, and the National Weather Festival.
