NEDC will be attending two significant events this spring as part of the organization’s overall strategy to attract new investment and jobs. First, NEDC staff has been asked to serve on the organizing committee for a May call trip to Atlanta and was asked to attend as part of the Governor’s Economic Development Marketing Team. The event will target select companies and site consultants for visits. In June, NEDC will be part of OKBio’s presence at the Bio International show in San Diego. The BIO Show is the largest life science event in the world. NEDC will be supporting the University of Oklahoma's efforts as well as those of some local employers. In addition to representing Norman and Oklahoma at the show, NEDC will be working with Oklahoma City on calls to San Diego area companies. Finally, NEDC staff attended a site selector reception in Dallas in April. Some 40 site selection and real estate professionals attended the event, which was coordinated by the Oklahoma City Partnership.
