Ryan Barnett joins Norman Economic Development Coalition as Research Intern
(NORMAN, OKLAHOMA) –
The Norman Economic Development Coalition welcomes Ryan Barnett to its team as a Research Intern from the Community Scholars Program at the Carl Albert Congressional Research and Studies Center. Currently pursuing a dual degree in Economics and International Studies with a Pre-Law focus at The University of Oklahoma, Ryan brings a robust academic background and a fervent dedication to community involvement likely from his mother, Michelle Barnett, supervisor of workforce and economic development, at Partner Tulsa.
Having previously volunteered on the ONE Norman Community Vision Task Force, Ryan gained invaluable insights into community needs and has a strong desire to contribute to local development initiatives.

Ryan's repertoire includes distinguished roles such as Chief Justice of the Interfraternity Council, a Student Congress Representative, and a Grant Writer for the Grant Writers Association of OK. Notably, his tenure as a Legislative Intern for the Capitol Scholars Program and Community Engagement Manager during an internship with the George Kaiser Family Foundation underscores his commitment to impactful civic engagement.
